Pastor's 2010 Goals

    It is truly my great delight, joy and prayer that you have a blessed, bright, broadened, and beneficent New Year, as you broadcast the good news about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who is our soon coming King.  The following are the 2010 Goals that I received from the Lord.  I trust that you would be prayerful and committed to the goal(s) that fit your spiritual gift set and what the Lord is asking of you as you participate in the ministry of this church family.

     

Theme for 2010

"Developing Disciples for Authentic Ministry"

(Matthew 28:19-20; Revelation 2-3)

 

The Short Term Goals are:

 

v     To have a strong emphasis on evangelism led by our Evangelistic Team, involving auxiliaries and members, utilizing the 2nd Sunday .

 

v     To continue implementing suggestions and evaluations from the Worship Team

 

v     To activate teams on Stewardship, Discipleship and Leadership

 

v     To evaluate all of our ministries for effectiveness and productivity

 

v     To establish a Young Adult Ministry

 

v     To establish the Deacon's Family Ministry

 

v     To ratify necessary changes to the Church's Constitution in Annual Meeting (1/25/10)

 

v     To make available classes for learning to speak Spanish

 

v     To have GED classes for our community

 

v     To establish an orientation for new officers/leaders for 2010-2011

 

v     To plan and implement PAD'S, serving as a shelter for the homeless, one night a week

 

v     To plan and implement a disciple-making ministry for new and present members

 

v     To establish a Wednesday night Bible Study for the entire church (7:00-8:30pm) 3110

 

v     To review how members are received into the church, and implement changes

 

v     To continue preaching through the Book of Revelation

 

Other Activities:

·        Marriage Retreat

·        Stewardship Workshop

·        Music Workshop and Concert

·        Two Financial Workshops

 

Long Range Goals are:

o       To continue church growth and maturity of the members

o       To acquire more property for parking and other expansion needs

o       To pay off the Church's Mortgage

o       To do an assessment of the possibility of having a Christian school; whether elementary or high school.
