Shiloh's Foreign Mission History
Purpose The work of the Foreign Mission is an ongoing movement that started 2,000 years ago with Christ command to "Go ye into all the world and make disciples of every people." It was assumed by the National Baptist many years ago with a special goal of sharing the Gospel with people in their homelands. For us, "Foreign Mission" involves making the love of Christ true by joining preaching with practical action. "Foreign Mission' means seeking and saving the lost, feeding the hungry, healing the sick, educating the illiterate, equipping our missionaries and sheltering the homeless in foreign lands. All this is done in the name of Jesus Christ. All this is made possible BECAUSE YOU CARE. We thank God for the services rendered by the Foreign Mission Board of the National Baptist Convention U.S. A. Inc. Through prayer and financial contributions to the Board, they assist in making it possible for our missionaries serving in the field to address some of the needs that exists in our foreign lands. The Foreign Mission Board has policies that guarantee our missionaries adequate salaries, decent living conditions, medical insurance and pensions. The Board is committed to supporting our workers who labor on the mission field.
