DARE - 2 - CARE
Mark 12:29-31
Mission Statement
Dare-2-Care is a component of FAITH Evangelism.
It is a lay-driven ministry based on the Bible's teaching of love, compassion and caring.
Vision Statement
LOVING, CARING AND SHARING ... IN ACTION
A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another;
as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. (John 13:34-35)
Ministry Focus
The DARE-2-CARE Team meets every Wednesday night from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for the following love-in-action ministries:
Prayer-Care
This group prays for the FAITH Evangelism Team when they go out on visitations. They also receive special prayer requests from all areas of the church and from the Tele-Care workers.
Tele-Care
Telephone callers make short ministry calls to build up and encourage the sick and shut-in and visitors, to let them know we are thinking and praying for them! This group also receives prayer request and schedules home-care visits for the FAITH Evangelism Team.
Note-Care
Short notes are written to those who need an encouraging word at just the right time. Notes are written for encouragement, sympathy, congratulations, absentees, etc. This is another way of letting people know that we care!
Home-Care
The FAITH Evangelism Team visits homes of newcomers, and church members. The Tele-Care Team arranges the visits. These evangelism and encouragement visits are a great way to tangibly show love and win the lost for Christ.
Convert-Care
Mentoring our new members is an ongoing challenge. One of the most fulfilling ministries in DARE-2-CARE is helping new members become acclimated to the Shiloh Church family.
